Basic reservations should be useless.
Devil dish 3800 yen
It is recommended to call in advance. They are very kind
I haven't been there at night so I don't know.
This is a restaurant, but when will the mushrooms dishes be added to the menu? Is that the question? Would you like to ask the restaurant directly?
It was sold for 500 yen for one in a container like ice cream.
The prices are all expensive, but I think they are all handmade. You can eat a little for the course. The potato salad had a very normal taste. For those who want to study cooking or who want to eat homemade items, even one accessory.
This was a fantastic find after a morning on our feet seeing the sights. The dining room looks out onto a beautiful Japanese garden - we were lucky that is was snowing while we were there which created a stunning and hypnotic backdrop. And everyone got very excited when a cat made a guest appearance in the snow. The food is tasty and traditional, well presented with multiple tasting menu options as well as a la carte. Highly recommended! Also, it is a little tricky to find (particularly in the snow), but don't be deterred.
It's a little bit expensive but it worth every penny.
I think it's delicious. I don't think it tastes bad, but ... it tastes unbalanced with the price. I don't recommend it for people who have high expectations when looking at prices. Because the feeling of loss at the time of checkout is great. .
Small traditional Japanese restaurant. The food was amazing. I wish we were staying in Nikko to come back try another of their menus.
I can't see my favorite waiter Wachi-san, so when I asked him, it seems that the current president pushed him out. It's sad to have a relative relationship. It seems that he was unilaterally fired because he created a reason why it wasn't quite there. It seems that the staff who followed Wachi disappeared. I was surprised because this story came out when I felt that the taste had changed. .. ..
Super yummy pumpkin soup and omlette rice. Desserts are so good.
The architecture and interior decoration and atmosphere are quite distinctive, the service and food flavor are of a high standard, and the price can also be ordered according to personal economic ability. It is a Western restaurant worth visiting.
Amazing mix of western style presentation and techniques with japanese ingredients. Tochigi beef is a must try. Bit pricy but well worth it.
Foods and drinks are good, but a little bit expensive.
It was a little too expensive for the common people.I tried to come in since I came, but I felt a bit out of place for touring the two men.I ordered a relatively reasonable “Omelet Rice†¥ 1600.The fluffy egg was covered with demiglace sauce and the chicken rice had about 4 shrimps and the taste was very delicious. When I finished the meal, I left the store.
Wonderful atmosphere and delicious food. Recommend.
Elegant, tranquil, relaxing dining restaurant!! Their vegetarian kaiseki dinner was excellent!
good atmosphere and old western style restaurant
Popular and crowded. Nice building worth to see.
Wonderfully attentive staff, in a building very unique in Japan serving local delicacies and a mixture of Japanese and Western dishes in a comfortable yet upscale environment.
I arrived at 12:45 on March 18th and was waiting for 60 minutes, but I made it in 30 seconds because I made a reservation in the morning. The clerk's response was very polite, and it was amazing as the store was excellent! For cooking, I put A set on omelet rice. I was delighted with the big shrimp that went into the omelet rice each time. Not all the services and food were great, but especially the cheesecake was shockingly delicious. I am not very good at the sourness of this type of cheesecake, but it was delicious because the sourness was moderately organized by the creamy layer on the cake. I will definitely use it again. Thank you very much.
It is a Japanese style Western restaurant operating in an old house built in the Meiji Era. Food is average but bloodly expensive. I would rather dine at Denny's which is comparatively tasty and at only 1/3 of the price. Definitely a tourist trap here.
I received the rumored omelet rice.It was fluffy and delicious.Next time I would like to have another menu. The cheesecake was also very good 🎵
Very good!
Exceptional food & service. The vegetables were SO fresh and the tofu was incredible - and this is coming from someone who rarely eats tofu! There's an English menu. The restaurant is hard to find. Google maps directions were off - we had to ask the nearby hotel staff, who directed us to a narrow stone path to the left of the hotel.
excellent
Excellent food and service a real gem highly recommended
We stopped by lunch before the Toshogu Shrine sightseeing.Because it was a holiday, it was lined up for about 30 minutes.I think the building has a very nice atmosphere and a very good place for tea.Order omelet rice and crab cream croquette. Both tasted very elegant. The price is reasonable.I bought sweets at the store, so I bought them as souvenirs. I think it would be nice to stop by when you visit Toshogu Shrine. It was a treat ~
Excellent cheese cakes in a little heritage cottage. Worth going after visiting the heritage sites.
There is a Western confectionery section next to the restaurant, and even if you shop there, the parking lot users can get a parking ticket!(Free real parking lot)No matter if you ate nougat, cookies or butter sandwich, it was delicious with no additives! !We did not use the restaurant this time because we were lined up for lunchIt was a solid price, but I would like to use it next time
Awesome traditional food courses. The garden creates a serene environment as you enjoy several seasonal dishes. This is the perfect place for lunch in Nikko.
This place is like a hiding gem of Nikko....like a fairy tale house in the big forest...mass potato croquette is so yummy, dessert also very nice...I totally fall in love this place.
The main building of the Meiji-kan? I asked him before opening to wait for the store to open. When I walked around for a bit of time to kill time, an uncle in black clothes in front of a shop called Annex, bread on the ground? I was sowing something like that. I guess, is it for animals? Otherwise, I don't have bread on the ground ... I'm afraid of viruses recently, so I was a little worried about hygiene, so I canceled the wait for opening and returned. Other people should also be careful.
A Western restaurant near Nikko Toshogu ShrineEven full of lunch on weekdays.A lunch steakThere is volume and the taste of the meat is perfect! This set is a great deal for 4500 yen.
The atmosphere of the area its in to start is so beautiful and inviting. The inside of the restaurant feels luxurious but not pretentious. As a foreigner I didn't feel unwelcome or uncomfortable at all as I do sometimes in fancy traditional Japanese restaurants. I got the Shojin Ryori and although its out of my usual price point ( it came to about ¥4200 with tax) it was well worth the money. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and if I ever go back to Nikko and have the money I will definitely go again!
The “Nikko Maitake†butter grilled, which was carefully selected, was not just a butter sauté. The ingredients themselves are wonderful and the cooking method is very simple because you want to taste the taste directly. Just saute maiko with butter and season with soy sauce. However, I can't hide my surprise at the taste of this maiko. The shaft's chewy texture and scent are completely different from the commercially available Maiko. This maiko, in fact, "Meiji no Yakata" seems to be engaged in cultivation, and by making it unique to the sun before shipping, or by evaporating the water, the shaft is thick and the fragrance is a rich gem It seems to be.Even just to eat this dish, it was worth going.Sausage platter was also perfect. It is a feast.
Great place, full of history with excellent food.
highly recommended to avoid the steak. We went there for dinner a few days ago, and ordered the recommended steak(not A5 one though), it is totally over-priced and not in good quality. We also order a lamb and chicken set (2500+1500 yen), with such a high price I would expect something much much better . Anyway, the environment and dessert is good. I would suggest going for a piece of cheese cake and coffee for tea in daytime. Cheese cake is really good anyway.
Exceptional authentic Japanese food! Highly recommend to try the vegetarian options as it would give you the true way of eating in this restaurant. The garden and the interior design was added bonus to an already good restaurant. The toilets were clean.
Beef hamburger steak is not delicious. It's like a sardine sardine without fat.No beef taste. I was disappointed after waiting for one hourDelicious by the atmosphere? maybe? And lose. Use your money carefully.
A cozy place with tasty food.
A bit pricey, but well worth it!
Set menu ¥ 2500 + main dish, comics ¥ 15000 for 3 family members. It was a luxurious lunch.I am a roll cabbage, my wife is crab cream croquette, and my son is Omurice.Appetizers, soup, bread, yuba salad, terrine, cheesecake, sorbet, tea.The reception of the maid-style clerk was good and delicious. It was at noon for a weekday, but we could enter without waiting.Let's stop by, it's recommended.
True Japanese EXPERIENCE! Food and service cannot be better.
Food's good!!!
A well-known restaurant located near Toshogu Shrine in Nikko. The building was built by a foreigner who founded the company that became the predecessor of Nippon Columbia, and has a Georgian style. After that, there was a history that Shigemitsu Aoi was evacuated during the war and stayed before heading for surrender on the Missouri. The price range is a bit high-end, but there is no dissatisfaction with the taste. Anyway, I recommend local production for local consumption and local specialty trout dishes. The closing of the store at 19:30 is a bit early. If you come to see Toshogu Shrine, go for lunch.
I have lived in all cities of Tokyo, Osaka, Kobe, Fukuoka,The rare cheesecake here is the best. It's rich and slightly sour, not too sweetI will finish eating one in no time.Everything is in perfect balance!
This gem of a restaurant is located in a wonderful garden giving you great views during your meal. Dishes are predominantely vegetarian, while some contain fish. The Yuba was probably the best I ate so far.
Good food and cheesecake is best!
A moment out of time !After 4 days un busy Tokyo, and a good morning of temple visits among the crowd, we found this lovely place for lunch. Hidden at the end if a stone trail, a japanese restaurant established in a traditional house, serving extremely fresh food.Be advised, do only get there if you are willing to enjoy the place : silence is required to enjoy the impressive service, the tasteful food and the resting sight (a beautiful garden filled with bonsaï !). English menu/english spoken.
The location is nice but far away from everything, exept my ryokan and the shrines. The food is not cheap but absolutely worth it. You should try the grilled hen, a big mushroom and not a special chicken dish like i thought.
It is a bit pricy but food is good. Drink options are not bad.
I came to Nikko and thought it would be fun, but it was expensive. It's a good material, but it's a tourist spot special price. But Omurice is famous and Nirvana is my favorite.
We had the Tochigi serloin stake and hamburg stake. Although the price of serloin stake was on the high side but it is to be expected from Tochigi beef and the quality diffinately make it worth and the sauce!! just simply delicious. It did not over power the taste of the beef and really do complimented it. Can't really fault the vegees either. The hamburg stake is real value here and its a must try. The service was great. Staffs were attentive but give you space to eat or breath. Overall highly recommend. You can check out their menu and price on their site. English is available.
